Chef Selassie Atadika opened lifestyle company, Midunu, in Accra, Ghana in 2014. Midunu is known for plant-forward cuisine, use of lesser known ingredients, elevation of forgotten foods, and elegant dining experiences. The company has been credited as one of the pioneers of ‘New African Cuisine’. It is highly sought after for its creative spins on classic dishes and its delectable chocolates.
Chef Selassie has been recognized as a one of the ‘Global Top 50 Plant-Forward Chefs’ and featured as a thought leader by CNN African Voices, Financial Times, The Danish Broadcasting Corporation and Vogue. She is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Columbia University, and Dartmouth University.
